Job summary

HNTB in Philadelphia and surrounding areas is seeking a Section Manager - Engineering to lead a professional/technical discipline, overseeing scope, budget and quality across projects.

You will coordinate priorities, staffing, and mentor staff, supervising 5–10 employees while ensuring client satisfaction and successful project delivery. Emphasis on strategic planning, budgeting and staff development across the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience including 2 years of leadership experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, monitors and manages the section's operating budget in support of the group or office operating budget and forecast updates.
• Responsible for the management, growth and professional development of discipline-specific engineering section.
• Supports the implementation of SSA, SDA processes on project pursuits and delivery.
• Manages contracting activities including scope, work plan and fee reviews for Section.
• Supports Work Planning, Monthly Project Reviews to ensure quality work and client satisfaction.
• Leads recruitment, staff development, performance reviews and succession planning.
