Job summary

Hitachi Energy North America Hub is seeking an Engineering Quality Specialist to drive quality excellence within the engineering function. You will establish control mechanisms, support design tools, and ensure robust verification and validation across product lines.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in quality management in engineering, and hands-on problem solving with DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, and QFD, plus strong communication across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a Quality Management role within an Engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience with problem solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Establish control mechanisms and checkpoints across Engineering processes and ensure adherence.
• Support development of design tools and continuous improvement through evaluation of Non-Conformances and Quality Notifications.
• Develop and apply DFMEA training and practical use; identify critical to quality engineering deliverables.
• Ensure Verification and Validation practices are effective (e.g., tests and inspection data).
• Promote internal assessments and support audits.
