Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Engineering Project Team Leader for the Large Power Systems Division.

You will lead the Platform Team with design control ownership for the system level of engine components, software, and performance, spanning new product introduction, current product improvement, and manufacturing support. The role emphasizes technical leadership, BIQ/AQE familiarity, and dashboard development to monitor quality issues, corrective actions, and KPIs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead 3600 factory end-of-line test efficiency projects.
• Improve First Crank Acceptance (FCA) and First Test Acceptance (FTA) performance metrics.
• Partner with factory personnel to identify, manage, and resolve BIQ (Built-In Quality) and AQE issues.
• Provide technical leadership across manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that track active quality issues, corrective actions, resolution status, and KPIs.
