Axcelis Technologies is seeking an Engineering Project Planner III at our Beverly, MA location. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 5 years of planning experience are preferred.
• Experience in project planning, resource and financial management, and familiarity with project accounting systems and project management software.
• Demonstrated results in project management and implementing standards in technical/manufacturing environments.
• Semiconductor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide general project planning support to Engineering and Product Teams in a cross-functional matrix environment.
• Manage and maintain the engineering project accounting and reporting system; initiate timely month-end actuals, forecasts, and reconciliations.
• Lead aspects of annual financial planning with cross-functional teams to coordinate duties.
• Maintain the resource database and reporting system; analyze reports to identify constraints and propose solutions.
• Assist in keeping Engineering projects on schedule and within budget by evaluating spend and effort with management.
• Standardize project management approach and reporting; drive changes to improve information accuracy.
• Evaluate and initiate process redesign and continuous improvement activities.
• Assess project management technology and improvements to systems to boost productivity.
• Provide training to new employees as required.

Engineering Project Planner III

Our influence is global, with more than 30 offices worldwide, an installed base of thousands worldwide and a customer list that includes the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers. Our team is expanding, and we are currently hiring an Engineering Project Planner for our Beverly MA location.

This position is based in our Beverly, MA location, with an expectation for employees to work onsite approximately 2–3 days per week, depending on business needs and team collaboration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide general project planning support to Engineering and Product Teams, working in a cross-functional matrix environment
• Manage and maintain the engineering project accounting and reporting system, as well as initiate timely financial month-end actuals, forecasts, and reconciliations
• Lead certain aspects of annual financial planning activities, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely coordination of duties
• Maintain the resource database and reporting system and analyze resource reports to identify constraints, recommend solutions, and set standard work practices for managing the communication flow and controlling change
• Assist in keeping Engineering projects on schedule and within budget by working with managers and senior leadership to evaluate project spend and effort on a regular basis
• Work to standardize our project management approach and methodology for project plans, schedules, prioritization, resource allocations, and reporting, initiating change to enhance the accuracy of project information
• Evaluate and initiate process redesign and implement continuous improvement activity where needed
• Evaluate project management related technology and improvements to existing business systems as needed to improve engineering productivity
• Provide training to new employees as required

Experience & Skills

• Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5 years of experience in a planning role
• Expertise in project planning, resource, and financial management, as well as familiarity with project accounting systems and project management software
• Demonstrated results in project management and experience implementing standards and practices in a technical and manufacturing environment
• Semiconductor experience is a plus
• Skills:
• Ability to resolve complex difficulties, work out compromise solutions, and set appropriate priorities while receiving limited direction from your supervisor
• Ability to work independently and within a team based environment, interacting with all levels of management
• Outstanding organization and communication skills, while being assertive and detailed with the ability to probe and challenge the information that is being collected and reported
• Exceptional skills in all MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Desire to learn, develop, and implement digital solutions that enhance capabilities, improve efficiency, and strengthen impact in the role

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE

$89,379.04 - $134,068.56

This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.

Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as you develop within the role.

Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular employees working 20+ hours a week).
