Job summary

HARTING Americas is offering a Project Manager Intern (Engineering) position based in Elgin, IL. The summer 2027 program is full-time, paid and on-site, designed to expose you to hands-on projects and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop detailed project plans, track KPIs, and work with Sales, Customer Service, Custom Solutions and Production Management to drive new product development from concept through close.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Background or interest in Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in driving new product development projects from concept through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing.
• Assist in developing detailed project plans with goals, deliverables, timelines and risk mitigation.
• Support resource allocation, prioritization, and budget tracking across cross-functional teams.
• Help monitor project progress and escalate bottlenecks to project managers.
• Prepare reports and track KPIs for steering committees and management.
• Build alignment with internal and external stakeholders across Sales, Customer Service, Product Management and Production Management.
