Job summary

HARTING Americas seeks a Product Manager (Engineering) Intern for Summer 2027 in Elgin, IL. The intern will explore industrial-grade electrical connectors, compete insights, and support new product development with sales, engineering, and marketing teams.

On-site, paid internship with cross-functional exposure and hands-on projects. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Engineering with interest in engineering and business strategy, and familiarity with CAD and advanced Excel is a plus.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Interest in Engineering and business strategy.
Experience with 2D/3D CAD software is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

Understand our product line of industrial-grade electrical connectors and applications.
Conduct SWOT analyses to gain knowledge about the competition.
Support new product development: launch timelines and promotions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and marketing.
Create deliverables: sales literature, trainings, inventories, marketing needs.
Ensure training and product presentations are up-to-date.
Contribute to overall product strategy including pricing and new markets.
