Job summary

SAPA Transmission is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to support defense and government projects. The role coordinates across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and technical objectives are met.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree and 3+ years in project management, with strong analytical and communication skills. On-site in Shelby Township, MI; security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in project or program management.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to meet cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams.
• Maintain project schedules, action item trackers, risk registers, and performance metrics.
• Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, and progress against milestones.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and materials for reviews.
• Facilitate technical meetings, design reviews, and cross-functional communication.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, procedures, and quality standards.
• Support issue resolution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Other duties as assigned
