SAPA Transmission is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Shelby Township, MI to source materials and manage supplier relations for defense programs. The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and quality.

Responsibilities include RFQ/RFP/RFI management, ERP-based purchasing, and contract administration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. On-site only with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of procurement, purchasing, or buyer experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials and components required for production and program needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between SAPA Transmission and suppliers.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
• Create and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
• Analyze supplier quotations, perform cost and price analysis, and support negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships focused on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Administer contracts and monitor supplier compliance with program requirements.
• Review MRP data to support purchasing decisions and inventory needs.
• Analyze ERP system demand and material requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program success.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SAPA Transmission is a leading manufacturer of advanced transmission systems for U.S. Army tracked armored vehicles. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team and play a key role in sourcing the materials and components necessary to support critical defense programs.

In this role, you will work closely with Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure materials are procured on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. What You'll Do

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
