Job summary

The role requires a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering and 7–10 years in manufacturing, plus 4+ years in project management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a talented Project Engineering Manager to join the team at a dynamic, reliable, and continuously expanding food & beverage manufacturer. The individual in this role will be based at one of their New York manufacturing facilities with 30% travel to others in the area. In this role, you will lead and oversee engineering projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.

Location: Central New York State

Job Responsibilities:

• Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project.
• Evaluate staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
• Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
• Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
• Regular travel to other facilities.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering
• 7-10 years’ experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, or pharma preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in project management
• Experience handling CapEx projects
• Basic knowledge of process controls and automation systems is a plus
• Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
