Job summary

Thomas & Hutton is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support engineering and construction projects across the Southeast. You will assist project managers, organize documents, track milestones, and coordinate meetings to keep initiatives on schedule.

In this role, you will work with multidisciplinary teams, communicate with clients and vendors, prepare reports, and help ensure compliance with standards and procedures while supporting career growth through our internal programs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of project coordination experience in engineering/technical environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Familiarity with Procore, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
• Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to analyze and prepare technical and non-technical documents and reports.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Experience with engineering teams or technical documentation preferred.
• PM certification (e.g., CAPM, PMI-ACP) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and engineering teams in daily project activities.
• Maintain and organize project documentation including schedules, budgets, reports, and meeting minutes.
• Track project milestones and deliverables using tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external vendors.
• Monitor project risks and elevate issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and engineering standards.
• Assist in preparing technical and non-technical reports and documentation.
