Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks a Project Controls and Management Department Manager to oversee project controls, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and compliance at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The role guides staff and consultants in capital projects and related management information functions.

Responsibilities include developing cost/schedule control systems, monitoring schedules, coordinating change orders, and supporting executive leadership in program

Qualifications

• Nine years of progressively responsible experience in construction project scheduling and estimating.
• Three of the nine years must include supervising a team of subordinates.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles and ability to manage unit operations.
• Understanding of finance concepts for capital development.
• Experience with engineering/construction project management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff analyzing and forecasting schedules, costing, reporting and controls.
• Reviews and improves project controls from budgeting through construction.
• Develops and maintains cost/schedule control systems for decision making.
• Monitors project schedules and negotiates change orders as needed.
• Develops controls policies, procedures and reporting systems.
• Supports executives in program requirements and procedures implementation.
• Manages information systems and electronic document control.
• Defines CCP, COMIP and R&R budgets and tracks progress.
