Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking a seasoned program manager to oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects, coordinate between program office, engineering, planning, and operations, and drive milestones, budgets, and schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) and 6 years of progressive technical experience; a Master’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program office, engineering, planning, project team, and operations management.
• Oversees and manages K07 technical training and development, structured onboarding and long-term retention (for new hires, summer interns, co-ops, and existing employees).
