Job summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to join our customer-facing Engineering Program Management team. You will collaborate with Strategic Customers as well as AML, FDE, Platform, Product, and Go-to-Market teams to be the technical voice for Cohere.

In this role, you will shape Cohere’s operations, drive high-impact contributions, and help scale our enterprise AI solutions while working in a remote-friendly environment with to-be offices in multiple cities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Engineering or Technical Program Manager with at least 2 years in customer-facing technical delivery and operations focused on enterprise-grade AI software/solutions.
• Knowledge or experience with LLM training or optimization would be a key differentiator.
• You are problem-focused and making customers successful really excites you.
• You are detail-oriented and extremely self-organized, with strong note-taking and action-item tracking during technical meetings.
• Bias for Action; you are execution-focused and like getting things done.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly across the tech org, Cohere teams, leadership, and strategic customers/external partners.
• Break down complex issues into strategies and align engineering with product, business, and marketing.
• Create and manage program schedules, dependencies, risks, and organizational alignment.
• Ensure on-time delivery, identify development needs, and establish status checkpoints.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues and coordinate cross-functional dependencies.
