Job summary

New York Technology Partners in Rochester is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to own customer programs within a technical manufacturing environment. You will lead programs, coordinate with customers, and drive execution from planning through delivery.

The role requires coordinating across engineering and operations, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining alignment with business priorities while addressing issues and changes as projects progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing technical projects or programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in custom machinery, automation, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
  • Ability to coordinate with engineering and operations teams
  • Experience with estimating, proposals, contracts, or commercial project support
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • PMP or formal project-management training is a plus

  • Support financial and commercial aspects of assigned programs
  • Improve internal processes, communication, and program-management practices
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders and leadership

Job description

Engineering Program Management opportunity with a well-established Rochester-area manufacturer, supporting customer-driven projects in a technical manufacturing environment. This role combines project ownership, customer interaction, commercial coordination, and cross-functional leadership, with responsibility for keeping programs aligned, resolving issues, and maintaining progress from early planning through delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across engineering and operations, communicating directly with customers, managing multiple priorities, and helping ensure technical and business requirements stay on track throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Experience with estimating, proposals, contracts, or commercial project support
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • PMP or formal project-management training is a plus
