Job summary

ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT CONTRACT SPECIALIST

DIVISION OF ENGINEERING & WATER RESOURCES/DEWR COMPLEXNATURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT RONAN, MT

The Engineering & Procurement Contract Specialist is a full-time position under the direct supervision of the Compact Support Officer and the indirect supervision of the Division Manager. This position is responsible for all aspects of contracting within the Division, and also serves as the contract development expert within the Division.

Incumbent must possess a Bachelors degree in accounting, business, contract management, economics, engineering, finance, law or related field and have a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant work experience. Must have significant knowledge in contract administration and government contracting, and knowledge of general business practices, contracting mechanisms, and Tribal and Federal policy related to project solicitation and contracting. Required to have a valid drivers license, and to successfully complete a certified defensive driving course approved by the department upon hire, and every three (3) years thereafter. Must wear Tribal Government identification and safety gear during field activities.

This position is not a (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by CSKT must pass a pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period.

Salary Range is $27.92 to $32.09 per hour.
