Job summary

HDR is seeking an Engineering Principal to lead Building Engineering Services projects and guide cross-disciplinary teams. You will shape project scope, schedules, and budgets while mentoring staff and supporting business development.

A PE license and extensive engineering leadership experience are required. You will collaborate with internal groups to win work, maintain client relationships, and uphold HDR’s culture of ownership and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 20+ years of experience in engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or equivalent.
• Proven leadership, client engagement, and project delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Building Engineering Services projects and drive cross-discipline collaboration.
• Develop scope, schedule, and fees for projects; manage staffing and budgeting.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to BES strategy and growth.
• Engage with internal and external clients to win work and maintain relationships.
