Job summary

HDR seeks an Engineering Principal in Minnesota to lead cross-disciplinary building engineering projects and influence culture, morale, and recruiting while delivering high-quality designs. This role requires deep technical leadership and the ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams in complex projects.

You will drive scope, schedule, and fee, collaborate with BES and partner groups, win work, and foster HDR’s employee-owned culture. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional engineering license (PE) recognized.
• 20+ years of experience in engineering & project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead BES projects with cross-discipline coordination and leadership.
• Develop scope, schedule, and fee for projects and engage staffing accordingly.
• Represent HDR in client relationships and internal/external pursuits to win and deliver work.
• Mentor junior staff and drive design excellence across BES disciplines.
