Job summary

MRB Group, a multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, and planning firm based in Texas, seeks an Engineering Project Manager - Business Development Lead. This role focuses on driving business development, mentoring engineers, and strengthening client relationships across multiple offices and disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with a PE license, 10+ years in water/wastewater engineering, and strong communication and leadership skills to lead strategic market

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer license.
• 10+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience with client development.
• Strong project management skills for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Texas municipal governments and understanding of grant funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development initiatives across target markets; outreach and partnerships.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities aligned with firm goals.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape market strategy and growth plans.
• Support proposal development, interviews, and presentations with compelling storytelling and design insight.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
• Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Mentor and staff development for the Texas Engineering Team.
