Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA, seeks a Staff Engineering Planning Analyst to join the Program Planning and Operations team onsite. You will lead staffing and governance for AISR&T Engineering, coordinate with leadership, and drive data-driven staffing decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with large programs, and the ability to obtain a US Government clearance. This position is based in San Diego with onsite responsibilities and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years’ related experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years.
• Experience in functional leadership roles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance.
• Strong collaboration and communication across multiple organizational levels.
• Experience developing and managing processes in large organizations.
• Experience interfacing effectively with leadership and staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads staffing, hiring, and redeployment administrative tasks.
• Represents various engineering and program teams in staffing meetings.
• Strategizes with leadership to address staffing challenges.
• Organizes weekly staffing meetings and tracks candidate start dates.
• Pulls data, prepares charts, and supports UR&R activities.
• Leads development and tracking of employee training programs.
• Analyzes training currency and compliance metrics; coordinates training facilities.
• Drives EI&E processes and reports status of staffing and performance metrics.
