Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, invites motivated engineering students to join our Summer 2027 Engineering/Manufacturing Co‑op program in the USA, LaFayette, GA. Co‑ops gain real-world manufacturing experience, collaborate on committees focused on recycling, volunteerism, and social events, and network with leaders while pursuing leadership development.

The program spans May 17, 2027 – August 06, 2027, with housing relocation assistance for eligible students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related degrees, or Supply Chain/Operations Management.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0).
• Willing to explore all sides of Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Materials, TPM, Lean, Distribution, Fulfillment, Consumer Operations, Advanced Manufacturing).
• Legal authorization to work in the country/region where the business is hiring; no visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Set goals and objectives for your co-op rotation with your assignment leader.
• Lead teams across multiple levels through influence.
• Identify and develop process improvements.
• Assist with development and execution of project ideas.
• Demonstrate analytical approach to problem solving.
• Work independently and manage time effectively.
• Schedule regular feedback sessions with your assignment leader.
• Travel 0%–10% depending on role; some overtime or Saturdays may be required.
• Roles are on 1st shift with flexible start times (5:30 AM–8:00 AM).
• Reliable transportation required; housing and relocation assistance available.
