Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks motivated engineering students for the Spring 2027 Engineering/Manufacturing Co-op at Lafayette, GA. The program offers hands-on experience in shop operations, process engineering, and global supply chain disciplines, with housing and relocation support for eligible students.

Co-ops collaborate on committees focused on recycling, volunteerism, and events, with opportunities to network with leaders and pursue leadership programs after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or better) in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management
• Graduation date May 2028 or later
• GPA >= 3.0 (out of 4.0)
• Willing to explore all sides of Supply Chain (manufacturing, sourcing, quality, materials, TPM, lean, distribution)
• Authorized to work in the country/region; visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Set goals and objectives for your co-op rotation with your assignment leader
• Lead teams across multiple levels through influencing
• Identify and develop process improvements
• Assist your team with project ideas and execution
• Demonstrate analytical approach to solving problems
• Work independently when needed
• Schedule regular feedback with your assignment leader
• Travel 0–10% depending on role
• Some overtime and Saturdays may be required
• Shift times may start between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily
