Abbott Laboratories in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Medical Devices, Vascular manufacturing site. You will drive sourcing, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize performance and quality across the plant.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing/engineering, strong leadership, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; MBA desirable.
• 8+ years in manufacturing/engineering with supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication in English and Spanish.
• Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
• Experience with ERP, SAP, and supplier performance management.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, materials specs, and cost-improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a manufacturing materials and equipment readiness team.
• Provide technical site leadership with product knowledge and process understanding.
• Drive continuous improvement projects for productivity and cost savings.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Viewpoint, SharePoint, CATS WEB) to monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with Quality System, regulatory, safety and HR policies.
• Mentor employees and provide feedback.
• Support site management in project execution and process engineering.
