Job summary

The UR Program in Puerto Rico offers engineering students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at Abbott sites in Arecibo, Barceloneta and Caguas, supporting Technical Support with knowledge from engineering coursework.

The role targets senior engineering students (4th or 5th year) in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer and Industrial Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Senior (4th or 5th year) in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer and Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Good verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge in Excel, Word, ERP and PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Abbott Plants in the Technical Support area based on engineering knowledge.
• May require overtime and weekend work if necessary.

This is a Pipeline requisition to source students' candidates for the UR Program in Puerto Rico for: January 2026. The positions will be located in our Abbott Sites in Arecibo, Barceloneta and Caguas. The incumbents will provide support to Abbott Plants in the Technical Support area providing services based on knowledge acquired during engineering classes.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in utilization of software, such as: spreadsheet in Excel, Word, ER and PC literate.
• Available to work overtime and weekends, if necessary.

• Senior (4th or 5th year) in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer and Industrial Engineering student.
• Minimum GPA 3.0
