Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking an Engineering Manager for the Vascular manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. You will lead a team, drive materials, process knowledge, and manufacturing optimization, while guiding continuous improvement projects and supplier relationships.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, risk assessment, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; MBA desirable.
• Minimum 8 years related work experience in manufacturing and engineering.
• Experience supervising a team and leading projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to a team to ensure materials and equipment support manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership of the site and ensure product/process knowledge.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to improve productivity and cost.
• Conduct risk assessments to prevent supply chain disruptions.
• Lead supplier relationships and ensure adherence to specs and quality.
• Mentor employees and support site management in project execution.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and other plant areas on cost reductions.
