Job Description: About TTI Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI, has an opening in its Anderson, SC office for an Engineering Manager who will support our Value Engineering team and be responsible for developing engineering talent, driving cost reduction and product optimization initiatives, and delivering measurable business results across the Outdoor Power Equipment portfolio.

Lead, develop, and mentor a team of engineers responsible for value engineering, cost reduction, product optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple product categories.
Own the Value Engineering project portfolio, savings roadmap, forecasting, and annual financial objectives by prioritizing opportunities, allocating resources, validating savings, and driving execution against business goals.
Identify and execute value engineering opportunities through product teardowns, benchmarking, design analysis, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing process improvements.
Partner with Product Management, Global Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Operations to implement solutions while maintaining product performance, quality, reliability, and user value.
Lead technical and business tradeoff discussions related to cost, performance, quality, schedule, and manufacturing feasibility.
Provide clear data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Establish and maintain processes for opportunity identification, savings tracking, project execution, and status reporting.
Ensure product changes, alternative materials, components, suppliers, and manufacturing processes are properly evaluated and validated through testing and engineering analysis.
Communicate project status, realized savings, financial forecasts, risks, and resource needs to leadership while fostering a culture of total ownership, accountability, and one-team mentality.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 8 years, preferred 10 years of relevant engineering, product development, or technical project leadership experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects, technical teams, or engineering personnel.
Experience leading cost reduction, continuous improvement, or product development initiatives.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product cost drivers, materials, supplier development, and engineering change management.
Proven ability to lead engineering teams and influence cross functional stakeholders.
Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate engineering decisions through both technical and commercial perspectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation of technical and business recommendations to leadership.
Ability to communicate effectively across global teams and international partners.
Works with a sense of urgency, initiative, accountability, and ownership.
Experience with product teardowns, benchmarking, cost modeling, and designing for cost.
Experience supporting global manufacturing operations and supplier networks.
Demonstrated history of delivering measurable cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and balancing resources against aggressive business objectives.
Travel Up to 10% travel (international and domestic).
