Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager III to lead the Wildfire Massed Modular Aircraft (MMA) Project Engineering team in Poway, CA.

The role requires strong technical judgment, program management, and the ability to resolve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment. The manager will lead one or more engineering teams, drive design concepts, requirements, interfaces, and technical approaches, and ensure objective

Qualifications

• Requires advanced engineering degree and many years of progressively complex engineering experience.
• Strong leadership and program-management skills are essential.
• Desirable: DoD security clearance and experience with EVMS, IMS schedules, risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage one or more project engineering teams for the Wildfire MMA program.
• Provide technical and organizational leadership from proposal through design, integration, verification, testing, and delivery.
• Set objectives for technical quality, schedule, staffing, and resources; resolve program issues.
• Interface with customers, program offices, suppliers, and internal teams to manage scope and performance.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and maintain a high-performance team culture.
• Travel as required and support business development activities.
