Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, TX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Transmission Line O&M Engineering team, planning and supervising critical maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and resilience of our high-voltage assets.

You will mentor engineers, drive preventative maintenance, support regulatory reporting, and manage budgets, while coordinating with field crews to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Texas Professional Engineer license required for Water Services.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to guide long-term operational approach for thousands of miles of transmission assets.
• Lead preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance programs to improve durability and performance of transmission assets.
• Mentor, manage, and scale a high-performing team of engineers and analysts.
• Champion safety by aligning with LCRA’s internal safety standards.
• Direct rapid-response efforts during storm restorations and outages.
• Build, track, and optimize annual O&M budgets.
