Job summary
Disney Experiences Technology is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead an engineering team delivering mobile, web, and backend solutions for Disney Cruise Line and related brands. You will oversee design, development, and deployment across cloud and on-prem environments, balancing reliability, scalability, and performance to delight Guests and Cast Members.
The role requires strong leadership, product thinking, and collaboration with sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Development.
- Experience with Java/J2EE architectures and cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Responsibilities
- Oversee finances and budgets, ensure accurate billing and forecasting.
- Lead an engineering team across mobile, web, and backend services.
- Drive delivery optimization for large-scale software programs and coordinate vendor relationships.
- Proactively identify opportunities for technology optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Build roadmaps for world-class support models and system health.
