Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the PAA Manufacturing Test engineering team in Kirkland, WA. You will own people, processes, and equipment for functional and environmental tests of satellite hardware and will set technical direction to achieve peak performance.

You will hire and develop engineers, manage KPI-driven test operations, and partner with cross-functional teams to scale production and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of test process and frontline support engineers for phased-array antenna manufacturing via functional and environmental testing.
• Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent; conduct performance reviews and support career growth.
• Set clear goals and priorities; foster ownership, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and unblock the team during test operations.
• Own the strategy and execution for functional tests compliant with MIL-STD standards (810, SMC-S-016, 1540).
• Manage automated test equipment (EGSE and test systems): maintenance, calibration, bring-up and commissioning.
