Job summary

A-Gas seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering function, advancing safety, reliability, and growth. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, drive capital projects from concept through commissioning, and collaborate with operations and regional engineering leaders to deliver compliant, high-impact solutions.

You will partner with Refrigerant, Fire Protection, and Environmental Services leaders while promoting safety culture and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in an operational or chemical processing environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Oil and gas sector experience preferred.
• Experience managing engineering projects from concept through delivery.
• Experience managing construction contractors and site execution activities.
• Knowledge of hazard analysis and leading or participating in HAZOP studies.
• Experience with design and operation of pressurized liquefied gas systems.
• Proficiency with design tools like AutoCAD and similar software.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety and Compliance across the site, including risk assessments and permit-to-work controls.
• Build and develop a high-performing site engineering team.
• Lead the design, specification, and delivery of new equipment and plant improvements.
• Partner with operations and functional leaders to align priorities and ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Improve plant performance by enhancing process efficiency, reliability, and capacity.
