Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager for the Research Tools team to lead machine learning and distributed systems specialists, enabling rapid research iterations and efficient production finetuning pipelines.

You will partner with research, product, and infrastructure teams to incorporate innovations into scalable tooling, guide growth during expansion, and coach reports toward professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent as shown in the posting.
• Minimum years of experience: at least 2 years in management or team leadership.
• Location-based hybrid policy: staff in offices part of the time.

Responsabilités

• Prioritize the team's work with tech leads and product teams to support fast iteration on research projects and training runs.
• Design processes (e.g., postmortem reviews, incident response, on-call rotations) that help the team operate effectively.
• Coach and support reports to understand and pursue professional growth.
• Run the team's recruiting efforts efficiently, enabling rapid team growth.
