Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a tech lead for the Research Data Platform who will work closely with researchers and engineers to improve data access, quality, and reliability. You will shape technical direction, build core platform components, and own end-to-end datasets, including data pipelines and schemas, enabling researchers to trust and standardize data across RL experiments.

The role blends hands-on coding with people leadership as the team grows, and offers a path to formal leadership

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating data-intensive systems at scale.
• Ability to define data models and schemas for large datasets.
• Experience guiding architecture and technical direction for data platforms.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with researchers and engineers to understand workflows and identify high-leverage improvements.
• Set the technical direction for platform and dataset work.
• Design and build reusable platform components and data tooling for teams.
• Own end-to-end datasets, from pipelines to schemas and documentation.
