• 4+ years of management experience on a high-performing software engineering team.
• Technical depth to review designs, ask the right questions about architecture and tradeoffs, and earn trust.
• Production experience with AWS.
• Track record of leading delivery through ambiguity and keeping a team steady.
• Coaching with a multiplier effect: mentees go on to coach others.
• Experience partnering with product management on roadmap, prioritization, and scoping.
• Commitment to building inclusive, high-trust, high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the Explorer team.
• Own our sprint planning and scrum ceremonies, aligned with product priorities.
• Lead effective retrospectives for team learning and improvement.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle for Explorer to ensure robustness and security.
• Create project plans with other technical leaders and provide technical PM to meet team goals.
• Identify process and technical challenges and propose solutions to improve team effectiveness and health.
• Partner with product management to deliver the Explorer roadmap and prioritize work.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners across product, design, research, data, and partner success; communicate updates and risks clearly.
