VTEX seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Discovery & My Account journey on the FastStore storefront platform. You will ensure delivery, quality, and reliability while turning priorities into actionable plans and balancing roadmap capacity across sustaining work and on-call duties.

You’ll mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, and drive hiring in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Strong AI/LLMs interest and architectural input are valued.

Qualifications

• Solid background in software engineering.
• Seasoned Engineering Manager with experience leading software teams and delivering complex projects.
• Hands-on with AI/LLMs, automation, and modern dev tools; AI critical thinking required.
• Advanced English; collaborates in a global, distributed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Discovery & My Account team owns the product selection journey in e-commerce stores built with FastStore, VTEX’s storefront platform. This covers the shopper’s path to finding and choosing products, as well as the account experience after purchase. The team is moving toward a native AI platform, where stores are generated and edited with the help of agents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll lead the team that owns this journey, accountable for delivery, quality, and reliability. You’ll turn product priorities into a realistic plan, balance capacity across roadmap, sustaining work, and on-call, and track delivery, performance, and reliability metrics for the services you own. You’ll also lead people: 1:1s, feedback, career development, performance reviews, and hiring, in a high-performance environment that values work-life balance. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Product Services, and other engineering teams, surface risks and dependencies, and help make decisions with customers and partners. You’ll contribute to architecture reviews and technical proposals, encourage the use of AI in day-to-day engineering, and help evolve engineering practices across the company.

What you’ll deliver in the first 6–12 months

The product is going through a transition phase. Early deliveries focus on migrating to and adapting to the new framework. In the medium to long term, the challenges are driving customer adoption of the new version and deprecating older versions, along with continuous improvements to components and journeys.

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a solid background in software engineering.
• You’re a seasoned Engineering Manager with strong experience leading software engineering teams, a proven track record of growing people, managing performance, and delivering complex technical projects.
• You’re hands‑on and curious about using AI/LLMs, automation, and modern dev tools to boost your team’s speed and quality, while staying thoughtful about responsible use. AI critical thinking is a must.
• Advanced English. You collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with distributed teams and cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
