Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks a Manager Engineering 3 to lead the engineering administration of the Product Lifecycle Management suite and related tools used across the design, construction, and sustainment of naval ships. This role guides four core areas including model catalogs, software development, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program required.
• 8 years progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; advanced degrees reduce experience needed.
• Mastery of cross-functional leadership and program management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team responsible for engineering administration of the PLM suite and related software tools.
• Oversee engineering software development, database management, Teamcenter administration, and data reporting.
• Manage Teamcenter configuration/change management for CVN, CLB and VCS; ensure timely PLM support and testing.
