Job summary

Vanta is seeking an Engineering Manager for the App Primitives team to lead the shared product primitives across the platform, owning the infrastructure layer that enables collaboration, communication, and core workflows.

You will shape technology direction across data models, backend services, and UI primitives, while hiring and growing senior engineers and partnering with product leaders to unlock velocity at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years engineering experience with 2+ years in people management.
• Experience leading platform or infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the App Primitives team.
• Own strategy and roadmap for shared primitives.
• Define interface model between App Primitives systems and product teams.
• Partner with product engineering leaders to surface needs and prioritize investments.
• Set technical direction for a full-stack team across data models, backend services, and UI primitives.
• Manage cross-team dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
