Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering in Miami to lead a blended team of internal engineers, QA automation professionals, vendors, and partners. You will be accountable for delivery, stability, and continuous improvement of the Artemis platform, overseeing UI, backend services, and batch processing.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, application delivery, or technical product development.
• 3–5+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS), containers, CI/CD, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee delivery from internal engineers and vendors, including QA resources, ensuring quality and performance.
• Establish and maintain delivery practices across blended teams with clear ownership and predictable execution.
• Coordinate dependencies across product, security, infrastructure, and support to remove obstacles and align priorities.
• Drive incident response, root cause analysis, service reliability, and production readiness.
• Govern agile delivery with backlog discipline, sprint and release planning, and risk management.
• Promote disciplined engineering and DevOps practices, including automated build and deployment pipelines and stable environments.
• Support platform integration and data exchange via reliable API and job-based interfaces with enterprise systems.
• Communicate delivery status, operational health, risks, decisions, and remediation plans to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors, accountability, and ongoing engineering excellence.
