Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Personalize Intelligence team in Chicago. You will lead ML-driven checkout optimization, guiding a team of ML scientists and data engineers to deliver real-time decisioning that enhances conversion and supports Adyen's AI products.

You will coach engineers, shape product requirements with merchants and product teams, and drive scalable, reliable systems while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in managing machine learning engineering teams within a mission-critical environment.
• 7+ years of experience in a ML/AI tech environment.
• Experience aligning multiple teams to product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Personalize Intelligence team with hands-on technical leadership and mentoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers.
• Define and drive architecture strategy and improve systems performance.
• Foster an inclusive team culture with autonomy, ownership, and impact.
• Recruit new team members aligned with Adyen culture and skills.
