Adyen is building a Machine Learning Engineering team in San Francisco focused on Credit Risk Modeling for Underwriting within Financial Products. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead the Credit Risk Modeling team, mentoring ML scientists and data engineers as they design, productionize, and operate ML models and rule-based decision systems powering our credit products.

You will shape the lifecycle from research to deployment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in managing machine learning engineering teams within a mission-critical environment.
• 7+ years of experience in a ML/AI tech environment.
• Experience with Credit Underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Credit Risk Modeling team with hands-on technical leadership and mentoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Define and drive engineering best practices, scalable architecture, and product roadmaps.
• Foster an inclusive, autonomous, collaborative team culture focused on impact.
• Design and implement new pipelines and services with reliability, data, and infra in mind.
