Job summary

Gusto is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Money Movement team to scale payments infrastructure across the US and internationally. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Treasury, and help evolve a rails-based architecture with stable API contracts.

You will lead a cross-functional group focused on reliability, on-call ownership, and governing SLOs while delivering scalable money movement capabilities and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on programming and 3+ years in management.
• Experience leading a payments platform team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow the Money Movement engineering team and vision.
• Lead and coach a cross-functional payments team to deliver next-gen rails.
• Own end-to-end money movement with reliable, compliant operations.
• Drive modularization by extracting money movement into a standalone service.
