Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering people-management experience.
• Ability to hire, motivate, coach, and develop engineers while building an inclusive, engaged team.
• Strong delivery-management skills with parallel workstreams and risk tracking.
• Product mindset with cross-functional influence across Product, Design/UX, Architecture, and Engineering.
• Technical fluency to participate in architecture, design, and trade-off discussions.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering team’s delivery, including prioritization, staffing, planning, risk management, execution, and quality.
• Build and lead an engaged, high‑performing team with clear expectations and inclusive environment.
• Hire, coach, and develop engineers; manage performance and staffing decisions.
• Partner with Product, UX, internal users, and engineering leaders to understand customer needs and roadmaps.
• Guide technical direction with architects and senior engineers on design trade-offs.
• Define and track engineering excellence metrics like delivery predictability and team health.
• Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and accessibility requirements are met.
• Support AI-assisted development adoption to improve planning and delivery.
• Act as incident commander for your team and drive root-cause analysis and improvements.
• Balance delivery with technical debt and long-term maintainability.
