Job summary

State of Nevada's Department of Transportation, District III in Elko, seeks a Manager, Professional Engineer to plan, coordinate and oversee projects, programs and consultant contracts. Requires P.E. licensure and governance of traffic management, Right-of-Way, Bridge Maintenance and more.

You will represent the department at hearings, assist in budgets, supervise staff, and provide expert testimony as needed to solve complex problems and ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) with leadership experience in a supervisory or project-charge role.
• Knowledge of traffic management, project and program oversight, and policy interpretation.
• Ability to manage consultants, budgets and complex statewide contracts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee district operations, review traffic patterns and propose improvements.
• Advise local agencies on traffic management and supervise key divisions.
• Represent the department at hearings, meetings and public interviews, providing testimony as needed.
