Job summary

Accelera Staffing is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Mechanical Engineering team responsible for OEM equipment systems and heavy industrial machinery. You will guide design efforts, validate calculations, and drive cross-functional collaboration to meet safety, performance, and budget goals.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in capital equipment design, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD), and a proven track record in engineering leadership and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• 7+ years of professional experience designing capital equipment and material-handling systems.
• Direct experience with OEM equipment systems required.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD or equivalents.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering teams and projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide, coach, and develop mechanical engineering staff, set priorities and supervise designs.
• Lead design and engineering of heavy industrial machinery and material-handling systems (stacks, conveyors).
• Validate layouts, calculations, and specifications to meet safety, performance, and manufacturing goals.
• Lead root-cause analysis and investigations for equipment failures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and Project Management to meet timelines and customer needs.
• Promote standardized documentation and design workflows to boost quality and scalability.
