Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an Engineering Manager level 1 to lead a 15+ person team in Marine Systems' power generation development for naval submarines. You will guide design, verification, and fabrication subprocesses, manage cost and schedule, and mentor engineers across mechanical, electrical, and systems disciplines.

This on-site role requires US citizenship and DoD Secret clearance, with relocation assistance available and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Master's Degree in STEM with 3+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to work onsite at Sunnyvale, CA; 100% on-site.
• US Citizenship required; DoD Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a 15+ person engineering team.
• Provide project and technical oversight of design activities.
• Prepare cost estimates and review proposals for internal and external customers.
• Develop machinery design competencies through development and hiring.
• Balance employee needs with business goals.
• Own and direct the design processes used by the group.
