Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Manager, Engineering 2 to lead a team that reviews VWIs across multiple systems, supporting the move to Model Based Manufacturing and iDS initiatives in the shipyard.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering (ABET accredited) with 6 years of progressive technical experience, or a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design.
• Master’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading engineers in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of engineers and developers in VWIs checks across multiple systems.
• Ensure VWIs are clear, accurate and support shipyard execution across programs.
• Monitor production, cost and throughput goals at the team level.
