Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a leader to supervise engineers and developers performing VWIs checks across multiple systems. Experience with VWIs, Ford Class design familiarity, and PLM systems are desirable to support deckplate execution.

The role focuses on maintaining production, cost and throughput goals while ensuring VWIs are clear and accurate to guide on-site work. Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) with 6 years of progressive experience is required; Master’s is also

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
6 years progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Supervise a group of engineers and developers performing detailed checks of VWIs across multiple systems.
Monitor production, cost and throughput goals to ensure targets are met.
Ensure VWIs are clear, accurate and fully support execution in the shipyard.
