You will allocate resources, oversee catheter development, and ensure on‑time delivery and cost targets. The role requires a BS/MS/PhD with 12+ / 8+ / 6+ years in medical devices, strong leadership, and hands‑on experience with catheter production equipment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant discipline and 12+ years of related engineering and management experience.
• MS degree with 8+ years of related experience.
• PhD with 6+ years of related experience.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
• 2+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Hands-on experience with catheter production equipment (hot boxes, die-bonders, braiders, coil winders, laminators, ovens, UV light welders, laser welders, etc.).
• Strong understanding of catheter materials (Pebax, Nylon, Polyurethanes, PEEK, PTFE, FEP, CA, UV adhesives, Stainless steel, NiTi).
• Extensive hands-on engineering experience with the field.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and provide career development to engineers and technicians.
• Allocate resources to projects and ensure on-time completion of activities.
• Direct process development from initial development to manufacturing validation.
• Plan and supervise catheter development through transfer to high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop processes to meet long-term manufacturing goals and cost targets.
• Identify and implement technology improvements and process optimizations.
• Lead design and qualification of tooling and equipment.
• Produce MDF documentation and train pilots and transfer engineers.
