ENGINEERING MANAGER

Location: Peachtree City, GA

Compensation: $125,000–$140,000

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: On-site

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Travel: Up to 15% (mostly local, with occasional overnight travel)

About The Company

A manufacturing company specializing in fabrication and machining in the Peachtree City, GA area is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a technical team while remaining actively involved in engineering projects and daily operations.

Position Summary

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of four technical professionals while overseeing estimating, programming, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a working manager who can provide technical expertise, develop team members, and collaborate across departments to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of four technical professionals.
• Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture.
• Oversee CNC, laser, and waterjet programming activities.
• Lead pricing proposals, cost estimates, and manufacturability reviews.
• Define project scopes, timelines, and milestones.
• Balance workloads and allocate tasks effectively.
• Remain hands-on with engineering projects and technical problem-solving.
• Support CNC programming, tooling, and engineering documentation.
• Partner with operations, sales, and leadership to align technical efforts with business goals.
• Manage capital projects and coordinate with vendors on new equipment and upgrades.
• Lead internal audits and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
• Champion automation, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new business onboarding and production readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading small teams.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, stamping, or machining.
• Experience with cost estimating, SolidWorks, and ERP/MRP systems; JobBOSS is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines and tooling.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to develop technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of resistance spot welding and tool and die processes.
• CNC programming experience.
• Experience with automation and manufacturing process improvements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $115k – $130k, depending on experience.
• Quarterly bonus based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
