Job summary

The Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, NC seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Engineering department, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all hotel facilities, systems, and safety programs.

This role oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance; you will mentor the engineering team, plan capital projects, and collaborate with hotel leadership to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, trade certification, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years in engineering, facilities, or maintenance in luxury hospitality.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Current state licenses and certifications, as applicable; LEED accreditation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
