Job summary

Australia-Employment in Sumter, SC is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing engineering team for design, development, and implementation of processes ensuring efficiency and quality. This permanent, on-site role requires strategic leadership and hands-on management of Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and product development from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required, advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent software.
• Demonstrated leadership to manage, motivate and mentor engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving and quality control focus.
• Strong communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, strategic mindset with focus on efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and development of manufacturing processes for efficiency.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to cut waste and improve quality.
• Manage a team of engineers; foster innovation and continuous improvement.
• Drive product development from concept to production meeting specs.
• Coordinate with project management to meet timelines and budgets.
• Utilize SolidWorks for design and engineering tasks.
• Develop robust quality control systems ensuring compliance.
• Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Manage operations ensuring health and safety compliance and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.
